POP's (Persistent Organic Pollutants)

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of a change of legislation impacting the disposal of furniture. SEPA are introducing changes in the law as of 1st January 2024 which makes it a legal requirement for all waste materials containing (POPs) to be handled and disposed of separately.


The material which fall within this category are:

Sofas, Armchairs, Futons, Sofa-beds, Upholstered stool and foot stools, Upholstered dining room chairs and office chairs, Beanbags, floor cushions.


As a result of the cost implications of disposal of any waste that is classified under POP’s this will be charged as a single item.

Skip Hire Term - The maximum hire period for skip hire is 7 days the delivery and off hire dates are booked in at the same time, delivery is anytime on day 1 and collections is anytime on day 7.


In the notes please confirm where will the skip sit? Driveway, On road permit required, private land, wait & load.

    Skips must not be filled over the level load,   overloaded skips will be subject to a surcharge skips which are overloaded are unable to be collected for Health & Safety reasons.
